Who we are

Next Generation BiOactiVe NAnocoatings - NOVA is a newly funded European project (Horizon Europe Programme). Together as fourteen partners in nine different countries, we are jointly developing THE antimicrobial coatings of the future. Funded by the European Commission, the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and the UK Research and Innovation with €7.5 million, we are a multidisciplinary team of scientists and industry players working tirelessly to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases in everyday life and healthcare.

Each team member at NOVA is committed to developing a comprehensive approach to antimicrobial coatings. During the project, each step of this comprehensive approach is simplified and optimised through know-how, high-quality coatings and new testing methods.

Our mission is to make every step of antimicrobial coating development easier by providing expertise, high quality coatings and new testing methods ensuring ready-to-use coatings.
