NOVA General Assembly in Frankfurt: Collaboration, Creativity, and Connection

From February 16–18, the NOVA consortium gathered in Frankfurt am Main for our 7th General Assembly, kindly hosted by DECHEMA.

Over three days, our partners came together to exchange insights and updates on what has been achieved during the past six months. The meeting offered a valuable opportunity to align on ongoing work, share progress across all work packages, and jointly shape the next steps for the project.

A special highlight of the event was the participation of Andreas Förster, Managing Director of DECHEMA, who shared his perspective on the importance of collaboration and innovation within European research projects. His contribution added great value and inspiration to our discussions.

Beyond the productive sessions, we also took time to connect on a more creative level. During our evening event at Entkorkte Kunst, each participant expressed what NOVA means to them — not through words, but through art. Brushes, colors, and canvases turned into a vibrant reflection of our shared mission and the spirit that drives our consortium forward.

Looking back, Frankfurt holds a special meaning for NOVA — it was here that we held our Kick-Off Meeting in October 2022, marking the very beginning of our shared journey. To celebrate this, we included two photos taken in the same place: one from the start of NOVA, and one from this recent assembly.

Seeing familiar faces who have been with us from the very first day alongside new members who have joined our mission since then is truly inspiring. A heartfelt thank you to all who have contributed — from the early stages to now — for your dedication, energy, and commitment to making NOVA what it is today.

We are deeply grateful to DECHEMA for hosting us in Frankfurt and to all partners for their continued enthusiasm and collaboration. With renewed energy and shared vision, and we already look forward to meeting again for the next and last General Assembly in July at SPARTHA in Strasbourg.
